Vacancy Junior Program Officer

The Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia is a multi-stakeholder association dedicated to support Indonesian initiatives aiming at supporting governance reform agenda. The Partnership works closely with national and international community to initiate, advocate, and promote sustainable governance reform in Indonesia .

The Partnership brings together the Indonesian Government, Legislature, Judiciary, Civil Society, and the Corporate Sector with the support of the International Community in initiating a long-term process to improve governance in Indonesia in a durable way which expresses Indonesian ownership.

Currently we have immediate vacancy for high caliber Indonesians with high integrity to fill the following positions:

Junior Program Officer, Strengthening Integrity and Accountability Program II (JPO)

Organizational Context

Currently the Partnership and its implementing Partners (Seknas FITRA, ASPPUK, LSPP, and TIRI) were just awarded with a program, funded USAID, entitled Strengthening Integrity and Accountability Program II. The SIAP II Program is developed to address the following objectives:
1. Strengthening civil society’s capacity in conducting oversight of government social programs.
2. Enhanced higher education institutions’ capacity in mainstreaming integrity and accountability principles.
3. Enhancing investigative journalism and reporting capacity of journalists and journalism/communication students.

In implementing the following objectives, the Partnership and its implementing partners will employ the following strategies:
A. Enhancing the capacity of CSOs in the National and Local level in conducting in-depth oversight on the business of governance (drafting state budgets, developing social policies, and implementing the social policies) to the citizens;
B. Ensuring that CSOs have systems in place to conduct their primary government oversight functions;
C. Enhancing CSOs’ capability to assist citizens and/or citizens’ groups in demanding greater accountability from the government;
D. Improving the media reports by enhancing the capacity of journalists in conducting more in-depth and investigative journalism;
E. Instilling the culture of accountability and integrity through the incorporation of accountability and integrity curricula into higher education institutions.

To ensure the successful management and implementation of the SIAP II Program, the Partnership intends to recruit a Junior Program Officer (JPO).

The Junior Program Officer will fully be engaged and responsible in assisting the implementation and management of the components outlined under the abovementioned strategies

Under the guidance and supervision of the Project Manager, and in coordination with the Project Specialists, the JPO will be assisting in monitoring the program/projects team, ensures effective implementation of program/project activities staff as per the agreed plan and budget. The Junior Project Officer will work in close collaboration with the Operations team.

Recruitment Qualifications
1. Minimum bachelor level qualification (S1) in political science, development studies, law, public administration, or other relevant fields
2. 3 (three) years working experiences in a not for profit organizations and/or in the field of development assistance, with a minimum 1 (one) year of experience in the implementation, and management of programs related to promoting civil societies’ engagement in the policy making process, in supporting local governance, in conducting budget analysis, in advocating for gender and pro poor budgeting, in promoting increased women’s political representation
3. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
